Congratulations to our member, Patricia C. Dykes, PhD, RN, FANN, FACMI, who has been appointed to Professor of Medicine at Havard Medical School, effective January 1, 2024. 

Dr. Patricia Dykes is the Research Program Director of the BWH Center for Patient Safety Research and Practice. She is nationally and internationally known as a leader in clinical informatics and patient safety research. She has developed technological innovations that have enhanced awareness of, and training in, fall prevention across MGB and around the world. She has built a substantial record of scholarship with widely cited publications in high-impact journals and frequent speaking engagements in national and international venues. Her work has been supported by competitive federal and foundation funding. Dr. Dykes has served in leadership roles and on key committees for the professional societies of her field, including a term as President of the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA). She is a devoted teacher and committed mentor to trainees and faculty at BWH and HMS.
